On the 3rdof November, 2015, 토토 사이트 커뮤니티 and the 토토 사이트 커뮤니티 Foundation of Agricultural Education and Research hosted an awards ceremony for the 23rdSangrok Award for Agricultural and Life Sciences, the 15th토토 사이트 커뮤니티 Scholarship Award, and the 13th토토 사이트 커뮤니티 Teaching Award. Due to a change in regulations, the name of the old “Sangrok Research Award for Agricultural and Life Sciences” was changed in 2015 to the “Sangrok Award for Agricultural and Life Sciences” (hereafter, Sangrok Award).
The Sangrok Award was created by the 토토 사이트 커뮤니티 Foundation of Agricultural Education and Research in 1991, with a donation from 토토 사이트 커뮤니티 Professor Emeritus Han, In-Kyu, designed to stimulate research and educational activities in the field of Agricultural and Life Sciences. The award is given to a 토토 사이트 커뮤니티 professor who has been recognized for his or her outstanding contribution to the promotion and development of scholarship in the field of Agricultural and Life Sciences, through research, writing, and education. Meanwhile, the 토토 사이트 커뮤니티 Scholarship Award and the 토토 사이트 커뮤니티 Teaching Award were created in 1998 to celebrate the educational and research activities of professors and to advance agricultural science and technology. These awards are given to a professor who has produced outstanding research papers or writing (the Scholarship Award) and to a professor who exemplifies and encourages best practice in student education, or shows a creative and progressive dedication to teaching (the Teaching Award).
Sangrok Award 2015 was awarded to Professor Park, Eun-Woo from the Department of Applied Biology and Chemistry; the 토토 사이트 커뮤니티 Scholarship Award was given to Professor Lee, Dong-Kun from the Department of Landscape Architecture and Rural Systems Engineering; and the 토토 사이트 커뮤니티 Teaching Award was given to Professor Lee, Byon-Woo from the Department of Plant Science. Professor Park contributed greatly to the advancement of the college, leading the development of NICEM and playing a decisive role in the formation of the Pyeongchang Campus. Professor Lee, Dong-Kun excelled in education and research, publishing a large number of papers in the field of Landscape Architecture, and producing around 30 Master’s and Ph.D. graduates. Professor Lee, Byon-Woo has been recognized for his efforts to implement a considerate teaching style based on understanding the standpoint of his students, while at the same time producing around 40 Master’s and Ph.D. graduates. All of the prizewinners declared that they would not have received such an honor without the help and support of the whole Seoul National University family; they resolved to make every effort to promote the continued development of the school.
