토토 승무패 Camp: Science and Creativity Newspaper in Education(NIE)

The 14th 토토 승무패 Camp took place from July 23-27, 2018, under the theme of “토토 승무패 NIE with Media.” It was hosted by The Seoul Shinmun and organized by SNU CALS. NIE refers to the use of newspapers as an educational resource for promoting intellectual growth and improving learning. Ninety middle school students interested in science came from across the country for this camp. They were allocated in different groups and stayed together at SNU for the three-day, two-night camp. A number of activities were provided. The first day included special lectures on 토토 승무패, convergence, various practical exercises and lab experiments. On the second day, students had a science-writing session with science journalists, and the third day brought an eco-campus tour with a forest commentator.
